Seriously, buy these socks. No more clammy feet, no more icy toes, and the softest socks on the market, probably. Plus, made in Canada and supporting a woman-owned small business is an obvious plus.
Seriously, thank you! This kind of love means the world to us. We’re so glad your toes are happy and that you feel the alpaca magic. We had such a good time hosting you and your mum on the tour too. Thanks for supporting small, Canadian, and woman-owned—we appreciate it more than you know!
October 2024. We happened to be in Charlottetown and attended the "Fiber Fest", I think it was called. Stumbled on the Storm socks and Miss Janets booth. "They aren't as bulky as they feel when they are on your feet." She told me as I was handling a pair of Storms. They felt so soft and comfy that I bought myself a pair. She is right. We were on a 3 week drive from New England to Canada and back and I wore these socks for most of the rest of our trip! When we got home I ordered more for myself and as gifts for our boys. They loved them too...and ordered more online themselves. These are just great wearing socks. I hav become a sock snob, lol, in my golden years (73) and have purchased Darn Tough & Farm to Feet socks, both of which I still wear and like, but these Storms have become my favorite sock for all 4 seasons here in Tennessee, USA. I think I will try some of the Boot Socks as well. Thanks, Miss Janet!
This is a wonderfully soft gorgeous yarn. I am using two strands of it with a fingering merino yarn and it’s really beautiful. And NOT itchy. That’s the main thing for me. I love the look of a fuzzy mohair in some sweaters, but regardless of the price point of the yarn, I find mohair itchy. The Green Gables alpaca lace is not itchy at all and feels lovely next to skin. I would buy it in more colors……
Cheers, Barbara
This must be your fifth request regarding two skeins of yarn. I gave you a review recently. Give me a break!!
Their customer support chat was amazing for my first buy. This is my first experience with alpaca wool socks and I will never try anything different for warmth. I misplaced one of my aplpaca socks :'( so I have been wearing one sock with one happy foot. I have one foot that is comfy, warm and soft! My other foot feels colder, less loved and definitely treated without luxury. I am so glad I took the gamble to try their product! My feet are often colder than my diabetic patients in the Emergency Department, so I will absolutely purchase again.
